ENTRANCE GATES

March 10, 2022 ~ Both gates are fully operational and everything is running smoothly with the exception of a few renters not knowing fully what's going on.  It is the responsibility of owners who rent to communicate to their tenants how to access the building.  If renters need to be put in the Call Box Directory for the duration of their stay, the owner needs to let Joan O'Keefe know the name to be listed, the phone number to be called and the dates of rental.

February 13, 2022 ~ The North entrances gates are scheduled to go into operation on Monday, February 21st.  Be sure so test your gate tags at the South entrance to ensure that you will have no issues once the North gate closes.  Report any problems to Joan O'Keefe.

February 2, 2022 ~ The South entrance gates will be operational beginning Monday, February 7th.  You must have your tag mounted on the upper right hand side of your windshield to enter through this entrance.  If your tag doesn't work, turn around and go to the North entrance (this will remain open for a few weeks).  Be sure to check and test your directory listing at the Call Box on the North end.  Report any problems to Joan O'Keefe.

January 27, 2022 ~ The Call Box at the North End is now operational for testing.  Please take some time to swipe your fob and check your listing in the directory so any problems can be corrected before we go live.  Detailed instructions on the use of the Call Box were sent out to all owners via e~mail today.  A copy of this e~mail can be found in the "E~Mail Correspondence" section under the "Information" heading.

January 22, 2022 ~ Things are moving along nicely ~ the call box was installed at the North end on Thursday afternoon (1/20).  The programming has been done on the company's end but we are currently waiting for the Internet service before the box is fully operational.  Once it is, I will e~mail all owners with instructions so they can check their listing in the directory.

January 12, 2022 ~ An e~mail went out to all Owners on January 11th announcing that Bartletts will be done with their work very soon and testing will be starting shortly.  Two Board members will be delivering the devices to each Unit by Friday, January 14th.  Your old fobs will also work but only at the North entrance.  Testing will be done using the South entrance and if your device doesn't work you will be able to enter at the North entrance (the gate arms will be locked in the UP position until testing of the South side is complete).  The testing will last about two weeks.  If you did not receive the e~mail fill out the Contact Information Form on this site and one will be resent.  Following are some photos of how the gates will look a night:

August 20, 2021 ~ These photos were taken on Sunday, August 15th ~ progress is being made!  The footings for the gates are in on both the South and North entrances.

July 23, 2021 ~ The three buildings met on Wednesday, July 21st, to discuss the gate status.  It was reported that all the permits have now been received and the project will commence sometime next week and will proceed as originally planned with the barrier arm type.

June 1, 2021 ~ We are once more delayed because of permits.  Bartlett and Ault thought they could fall under the Sunshine Landscaping permit, but then found out they had to get their own.  That permit has been applied for, but now they have been told the paperwork they submitted was for the north entrance only.  They need a separate permit for the south gate.

May 11, 2021 ~ Work is progressing nicely ~ below are photos of how the entrance ways are looking as of today.  The North side has a turnaround in front of the car wash so vehicles who don't have the proper access can turn around and exit the property.  The car wash entry will also be our access out of the car wash area.

April 23, 2021 ~ A meeting of the 3 Building Boards, as well as the 5 contractors who will be working on the project, met this morning.  Excitement was shown when the representative from St. Lucie County arrived and handed over the signed permits!!  Work will commence on Tuesday, April  27th with the cutting of the asphalt which will take approximately 2 1/2 weeks ~ there will be little or no interruption accessing the buildings while this work is going on.  The electrician will work in conjunction with the asphalt cutting followed by the installation of the security footings; more electrical work after that then the gate installations.  They anticipate the completion of the project to be sometime in July.

March 26, 2021 ~ At the Board of Directors' Meeting held on March 26, 2021 it was reported that the County had approved all submissions.  The engineer can now start the ball rolling but still there is no start date.  The system will be of the barrier arm type and for owners will be controlled by a clicker fob and for guests a code would need to be entered which would connect to the owner for access.  Each Unit will receive two fobs.  The South side will be dedicated to Owners and the North to be used by guests.

 

January 29, 2021 ~ It was reported at the Annual Meeting held today that the contract has been signed but no start date has yet to be determined.  

August 14, 2020 ~ The engineer met with St. Lucie County regarding the approval for our permit.  The Committee had some minor requests and questions but nothing out of the norm.  They did ask for a survey of the area which will be taken care of by the engineer.  There will be more meetings as they look over the plans and additional questions may arise.  The engineer said it often takes 2 to 3 months before the final approval hearing is held.  It is clearly a lengthy process and we will be notified when the county schedules the next meeting.

 

July 7, 2020 ~ The engineer is currently working on the design and as soon as it is finalized the Board will advise all owners on the means of access for all entrants.

July 4, 2020 ~ The $500 special assessment for the gates is due by July 31, 2020.  This payment is to  be made separate from any other payment to the Association.

May 22, 2020 ~ Building B and Building III unit owners passed the vote to have gates installed at both entrances.  Building A met on May 29, 2020 and passed the vote as well.
